School History – 校史

On May 4th of 1996,  in a small apartment room, a class was held. There were only 8 students and 1 teacher, but infinitely many optimistic hopes.  The common goal was to learn the Chinese language and appreciate the Chinese culture.  This small group of people, with unity and desire, achieved what later became the Great Wall Chinese School now Chang Cheng Chinese School.

The school was established by the CCEA and its member at the time, or California Chinese Engineering Association at the very beginning. Today, the school has hundreds of students of all ages divided into various classes grade K through 8 based on their Chinese language skills.
